All divisions will be Round Robin format to offer players as many games as possible.
Pecos Park Pickleball Indoor Hours Changes
Every year the Pecos Park Community Center offers kid’s camps indoors. The camps start May 30 and run through the end of July.
The camp hours effect indoor pay time for pickleball.
Starting May 31 indoor play will be every Monday and Wednesday 3-5pm
The community center is also closed on Memorial Day May 29th and July 4th.
The community center will also be closed to pickleball the entire week of July 23rd.
We anticipate a return to the regular indoor play schedule starting July 30th.
The changes in times do not affect outdoor play.
Giving Back to Education
Education is one of the keys to further development and growth of the game. Teaching at local schools can be made easier by teaching those educators that are involved in students on a daily basis.
We, at Phoenix Pickleball LLC, are proud to be involved in the education process and are working with the Arizona Health and Physical Education (AZHPE.org) organization in bringing our pickleball lesson plans and support to the Arizona State Convention for Physical Educators, various workshops we have attended over the last 12 months and through the school districts in the area….namely the Kyrene and Tempe School Districts.
Our work never stops as we are collecting used paddles, balls and portable nets to give to the schools.
We currently have started a collection drive for items that are needed to support the schools and have so far gathered several dozen balls, 2 nets and about 15 paddles.
This initial drive will be given to the Kyrene School District.
Steve & Susan Manolis, owner of this website and Phoenix Pickleball LLC will also donate a new Selkirk Club paddle for any Selkirk paddle purchased from them that exceeds $80.
The Club paddle is Composite face with a Polymer core and retails for $35.
